Cleveland’s New Hispanic Liaison A True Victim Advocate

Jeanete Pellot-Ayala has only been in the job as Cleveland’s Hispanic liaison for just over two months, but already she has reached out to the hundreds of repatriated Puerto Rican families who have settled, some permanently, in metro Cleveland. Her office spearheaded a resource fair for those families on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Lincoln West High School.

March 20, 2018:  Toledo City Council faces a firestorm of complaints, calamity, and controversy this week as its members hear public testimony on a proposal by Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz to abolish the Board of Community Relations (BCR) and Toledo’s Youth Commission and then to form a single Human Relations Commission (HRC). Opponents organized their efforts in a public hearing on March 20th at One Government Center.
